Harbr Accounting (formerly Business Management Services) has been serving the Peterborough Area since it was founded in 1961 by W.P. Bill Kinlin. It was then acquired by James Loucks, a former CRA auditor.
It is now led by Terri Huggins who joined the team in 2006, was mentored by James Loucks for many years, and later took ownership in 2015.
In September 2024, Harbr Accounting and Inclusive Accounting completed a merger under the name Harbr Accounting. This merger brought together two established local teams to better serve clients across Peterborough and the Kawartha Lakes, centralized in Peterborough, under the leadership of Terri Huggins, President and Senior Accountant.
This integration expanded Harbr’s team and service capacity, enabling deeper specialization, improved efficiencies, and faster turnaround times—while maintaining the personalized, community-focused experience clients value. Today, Harbr Accounting continues to provide comprehensive services including business accounting and tax planning, corporate organization and restructuring, bookkeeping, estate planning, and personal tax filings, delivering a consistent gold-standard level of care to both long-standing and new clients.
Beyond their work supporting businesses and individuals through Harbr Accounting Services, Terri and the team are active members of the Peterborough community including sponsoring Peterborough Thunder fastball and other local sports teams, volunteer at community events, and sitting on local community boards including Community Living Trent Highlands.
